The Quality Assurance (QA) scheduling process can be used to record and monitor any event that has the need for regular interventions. In most circumstances this will be used for the recording and scheduling of training courses that need to be attended by Carers on an annual basis. It also allows you to plan and schedule events against service users, including care plan reviews, risk assessments and care quality visits. You will also be able to schedule any client surveys and later in this guide you will be shown how to create and record client surveys.
To launch the QA Screen click on the QA icon on the toolbar.
From this screen you can manage existing scheduled events or add new events.
When first using the QA Scheduler you will need to start by inputting the events that you wish to schedule and monitor. This also applies to adding new additional events.
To create a new QA Scheduled Event click the New Action Button and the following pop up box will appear.
When selecting the Schedule Type you may find that it doesn’t contain the type of event that you require. If you need to create a new event type then as with many other lists it can be amended and added to within the Items Screen. Having opened the Items Screen and selected QA Type from the first list simply click on the New Action Button.
Top tip: To select a large group of carers/clients to be scheduled on one particular assessment in the same month use ‘TOOLS’ option and select people you wish to go on particular course/assessment.
There are two main ways to view the details and activity held within the QA area of CareFree. Within the reports screen you can view carers QA schedules by choosing the following options.
You are also able to see an overview of all QA schedules in the ‘Planners’ screen of CareFree and the ‘CareFree Dashboard’.
Access planners by clicking on the icon shortcut.
The screen will default to the ‘Call Planner’ screen – Click on the drop down menu and select ‘QA Schedules’. You will be brought to the following screen.
